Bookwire Extends Cooperation with Diogenes Verlag to International Distribution of eBooks

Frankfurt, 20 February 2018 – Frankfurt digital services provider Bookwire GmbH and Swiss publishers Diogenes Verlag AG have extended their cooperation on digital distribution. International distribution of the well-known publisher’s eBooks complements existing support for distribution of Diogenes’ audiobook catalogue.

The extended cooperation began in January 2018 and involves the entire eBook catalogue of Diogenes Verlag AG (Zurich, Switzerland). This means that Bookwire is currently responsible for international distribution of 660 eBooks.

Shops supplied include global market leaders such as Amazon, Apple and Kobo outside of the European Union (EU), as well as specialised shops on some national markets (e.g. Tagus Books, Perú eBooks, Hipertexto and many more).

“Diogenes Verlag is synonymous across the world with a very high-quality range of literature, and it enjoys a good reputation. The publisher has taken a forward-looking decision in making the works accessible to new target groups and marketing levels, through digital distribution. With the international distribution expertise of our team of experts at our headquarters and in our local branches in Brazil, Mexico and Spain, we are optimally positioned to support Diogenes as they expand this area of their business”, says Jens Klingelhöfer, CEO of Bookwire GmbH.

Bookwire and Diogenes Verlag have already been working together on audiobook distribution since 2015. Diogenes currently has 280 audiobooks that have been supplied by Bookwire to tolino Allianz and other shops since then.

According to Roger Send, Digital Media Distribution at Diogenes Verlag AG “having only had positive experiences of the collaboration on our audiobook catalogue, extending the cooperation with Bookwire was the next logical step for us. For our catalogue, we are putting our trust in strong partners who use their expertise optimally to support our work as publishers”.
